Description
The hand-painted book is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Iakob Gogebashvili’s books “Georgian Language Alphabet and First Book for Students” and 140th anniversary of “Deda Ena”(Mother language) from their first edition.
Iakob Gogebashvili’s most famous work – “Deda Ena” has been published many times since 1876 and is still a textbook in schools. Iakob Gogebashvili’s alphabet is the first book for all Georgians, who take the first steps in learning their native language.
The book is very important for all those who are engaged in raising new generation and also those, who are interested in the history and culture of Georgia.
The hand-painted copy is now securely stored because of its substantive value, though there exist 150 copies that are printed on a special printer. This machine transmits the sensation of a hand-painted book — you can literary feel the paint with your fingertips.
Each book has a personal number “1/150” and you can choose the one you would like to have in your library.
Author of the idea of the publication – Teimuraz Guguberidze thanks his family for the inspiration and for supporting the implementation of the idea.
